ARIA Awards make dazzling return to The Star

Sydney’s premier entertainment destination, The Star is gearing up to welcome the Australian music industry’s biggest night of celebration, the 2015 ARIA Awards Connected By Telstra on Thursday, 26 November 2015, for the third consecutive year.

As the official destination partner and host venue of the ARIA Awards until 2017, The Star will welcome leading music talent to the state-of-the-art multi-purpose Event Centre, including international guest performer and nominee for Best International Artist, Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran will join confirmed ARIA performers, including Conrad Sewell, Flight Facilities, Hermitude, Jarryd James, Jessica Mauboy, Nathaniel, Peking Duk, The Veronicas, Tina Arena and Vance Joy.

The Star, Managing Director, Greg Hawkins said: “We’re thrilled to be the home of the 29th annual ARIA Awards and look forward to presenting the illustrious event at Sydney’s premier entertainment destination.

“We are exceptionally proud of the world-class technical and audio visual facilities of The Star Event Centre and are delighted to be the chosen venue for the flagship event of the Australian music calendar.”

Fans can watch their favourite artists arrive on the David Jones Red Carpet when festivities commence from 2.00pm at The Star sign on Pirrama Road, featuring ceremony host Osher Günsberg and red carpet hosts, Ten entertainment reporter Angela Bishop, The Loop's Scott Tweedie and Liv Phyland, and comedian Joel Creasey.

Home viewers can tune in to the glittering occasion on TEN and tenplay, the official broadcast partner for this year’s show, to watch their favourite artists arrive on the David Jones Red Carpet.

?Following the formal awards ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to take to the Sky Terrace for the ARIA Awards official after party, followed by celebrations at The Star’s internationally renowned nightclub, Marquee.

The event follows the inaugural opening of the ARIA Hall of Fame with Tina Arena at The Star on Thursday, 5 November.

The Star the home of Australia’s cultural industries, as the Event Centre is the host venue for the ARIA Awards, AACTA Awards and ASTRA Awards, and next year the Sydney Lyric Theatre will host the 2016 Helpmann Awards, followed by an after party at Marquee.
