Pizza Hut lays down the gauntlet to become best-value pizza chain in Australia

Pizza Hut lays down the gauntlet to become best-value pizza chain in Australia
Simplified, better value, better quality menu
Join the pizza revolution

In an industry first, Pizza Hut has significantly upped the ante in the Australian chain pizza market, announcing not only will large Classics pizzas now cost just $4.95 all day every day, but its most expensive pizza range will be capped at $8.50.

From July 1, all day, every day, the Pizza Hut Classics range will be priced at just $4.95 pick-up, while the Favourites range, Pizza Hut’s premium menu that includes Aussie favourites Super Supreme and BBQ Meatlovers, will cost only $8.50 pick-up.

The revolution continues, too, with Pizza Hut refusing to charge extra for chicken – unlike its major competitors who can charge up to $3 for the privilege of chicken.

“We are determined to offer the very best value pizza with top-quality toppings. We have recently upgraded the quality of some of our major ingredients, such as a new, thicker ham sourced from leaner pork cuts, and we’ve found an amazing wood-smoked bacon made from premium pork belly.

“Quality is at the core of our pizzas and with our new pricing, pizza lovers can get the best of both worlds – great tasting pizzas at a great price,” said Pizza Hut General Manager Graeme Houston.

Houston added that Pizza Hut believed this move represented the future of pizza for Australians at a time when every dollar counted for families.

The $4.95 Classics range consists of six pizzas, including Pizza Hut’s most popular pizzas like Pepperoni Feast and the Big Cheese, while the Favourites range will include 11 crowd pleasers, including BBQ Meatlovers and Super Supreme.

“As of Tuesday, two new flavours will also hit stores – the New Yorker, a pepperoni, mushroom and Italian sausage combination; and the Blazing Bird, a combination of chicken, jalapenos, chilli, and pineapple. Both are available as part of the Favourites range,” said Houston.

The launch of the new menu closely follows other recent, hugely popular Pizza Hut pizza crust innovations such as the Cheeseburger Crust Pizza and the Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza.
