Flickering faces, c-suite Twitter fails and Periscope takes live action too far.

Smiley, surly or surprised? Emoji fans can now see in real-time which of their favourite smiley faces, animals or types of cocktails are being tweeted at emojitracker.com.

Instagram continues its not-so-subtle march towards advertising with the announcement that from this week, users can switch between accounts. To date, the inability to switch between multiple accounts has frustrated Instagram users who manage at least one brand on top of their personal account.

Poor Twitter management. Not only is stock hitting some unwanted lows, wired.com has rated each one on how they use Twitter themselves. (Spoiler alert – only one got an A!)

Periscope inauspiciously hit the news with reports (as possibly a world first) that a man used Periscope to accidentally live stream his death in a strip club in the USA.

And we couldn’t let this week pass without the 10 most viral ads from SuperBowl 2016.
